Message from Our Head - Mrs Carrington

I’m very proud to be the Head teacher of a school that truly strives to be the best it can be. We build on our success, experiences and learning of the past. We utilise the outstanding resources, talent and educational techniques presently available, to deliver an exciting and engaging curriculum that challenges and motivates. We take great pride and care in using all we know to shape and guide our children towards a better future.

Recently along with 4 other local schoools, we formed Athena Schools Trust because we believe that we are better together and we can provide and even better education for the children in our care.

We’re also passionate about creating a caring and nurturing ethos that helps children to thrive, the local community flourish and parents feel proud of their children and secure about their education.

Our committed and conscientious school team works enthusiastically and diligently to give every child a fantastic start to their journey in education and in life. We do everything we can to help our pupils realise their best academic, social and physical potential through a love of learning that empowers them to become independent learners and self motivated achievers.

We couldn’t achieve all that without the close partnerships we enjoy with parents, carers and the local community. We are always looking for volunteers in the school, supporting a range of educational activities such as cookery, special activities or reading.
