About Thornaby Academy

Thornaby Academy is a vibrant, inclusive and caring community that has recently joined the family of schools in Northern Education Trust. In a short space of time, we have wholeheartedly fostered the NET vision of being ‘Outcomes focused, child centred’.

We believe that children come first; every decision we make is always underpinned by what is in the best interests of our young people so that they achieve, are safe, successful, valued and respected.
