Valley Gardens Middle is an outstanding school. It is a highly popular and oversubscribed school with over 770 pupils on roll. Academic standards are well above age related expectations and the school remains ambitious to improve standards further. The vibrant and caring ethos of the school is a particular strength and there is a thriving programme of extra-curricular activities.

The school has a strong pastoral care offer and in our most recent Ofsted inspection the school was graded outstanding. “Many pupils reach exceptionally high standards”.

We are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher of PE to contribute to the further development of our reputation as a high performing school.

The successful applicant should have a passion for teaching and learning and be able to use their knowledge and experience to contribute to continual improvements within the department and across the whole school. They should have a vision for curricular and extra-curricular provision. The ability to support and stretch pupils at all levels is essential.

We are looking for team players who are prepared to commit to the school. The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and be able to work on their own initiative.
