About Westmeads Community Infant School

At Westmeads Community Infant School, we aim to give our amazing pupils the very best start to their educational journey. Our intent focuses on the high expectations we have of everyone and our belief that everyone has the ability to succeed. Our core values of independence, love, curiosity, kindness, perseverance and equity run through everything we do and are the foundations of the school; shaping our curriculum and pedagogy, and guiding our behaviours and attitudes to learning.

Our bespoke research-led innovative and progressive curriculum takes children beyond the classroom, venturing outdoors and into our local community. We are very lucky to have our very own canopy forest area onsite, the woods close by and the beach on our doorstep, of which we take advantage at every opportunity with our fully credited beach and coastal school curriculum. Children and adults alike love learning when they are motivated, excited and having a real and hands-on experience and here at Westmeads that is what we strive to deliver.
