About Whitehill Primary School

Whitehill Primary School sits on the border between South Reddish and the Heatons. We are a small, friendly school with a real family feel – having just under 200 children on roll. We pride ourselves on the rich diversity of our school with 54% of pupils entitled to free school meals, 25% of children on the SEND register and 20 home languages spoken by our children and their families. The school was judged by Ofsted in 2018 as “Good” and this was maintained in Feb 2024 during an ungraded inspection.

The school has a stable and friendly staff, which adds to our family orientated ethos of the school. The senior leaders and Governors of the school are knowledgeable and supportive with a key focus on work-life balance and maintaining manageable workloads. We have a commitment to continued professional development.

Commitment to safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024, we carry out pre-employment checks and screening.

The successful applicant’s appointment will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and pre-employment checks.
