About Whitkirk Primary School
Whitkirk Primary School has a big heart – it is a happy school in which our pupils are encouraged to become considerate and responsible members of society. Our dedicated and passionate staff work hard to make sure everyone feels cared for, safe and valued.
Our vision is ‘to be the best that we can be’. We aim to create determined and resilient learners for life. We want our pupils to enjoy their days at school and to know the joys of learning, discovery and challenge.
We want to work in partnership with you, our parents, as this is key to success. We will work together to make sure every child has the opportunity to achieve their potential and treat every child as the unique and extraordinary individual that they are.
Whitkirk is a much-loved primary school with a fantastic school community. We are very proud of our locality; as you can see from our school logo, we have a strong relationship with our church, St Mary’s, where we both visit reciprocally and also Temple Newsam which poses the perfect opportunity to learn about the fascinating history of our local area.
Primary school years are so important, and a time where so many special memories can be made. I am extremely proud of Whitkirk, and would be delighted to show you around our school and share our journey with YOU.
