About Wood Farm Primary School
Housed in a beautiful set of buildings and landscaped grounds in the Headington area of Oxford, we believe that Wood Farm Primary School is a very special place to work, learn and grow as a teacher. We have over 400 pupils and children join our school from a wide variety of backgrounds, including many who join us from our federated nursery school, and others who have recently arrived in the country. We pride ourselves on the friendly, welcoming atmosphere that we have established in our large and vibrant school and the way that our children work, learn and play together.
As a teacher working in our school, whether newly qualified or more experienced, our commitment to your professional development is second to none. Commitment to safeguarding
Ensuring that children are safe and well cared for is our highest priority. We work with parents and other agencies, including our Local Authority, to make sure that children are kept safe, both in school and beyond.
Staff members with designated lead responsibility undertake regular specialist training in safeguarding and child protection.
All members of staff and regular volunteers receive training in child protection, and we undertake comprehensive background checks on all adults working in the school, including an enhanced DBS check and full employment references.
