The role

  • Planning, preparing and teaching lessons at all levels, within the department, to reflect individual student needs.
  • Reviewing teaching strategies in light of individual’s progress and carrying out assessments.
  • To discharge a duty of care to all students in the school and carrying out supervisory duties as reasonably directed.
  • Taking a pastoral responsibility for students, including monitoring their academic and social progress, writing all reasonably requested reports and working effectively, as appropriate, with Heads of Year and the SENDCO.
  • To be aware of, and operate within, all policies relating to student welfare and guidance, especially in the area of Child Protection.

The ideal candidate

  • Qualified and enthusiastic Geography specialist with the ability to teach at all levels.
  • Applications are equally welcome from experienced or newly-qualified teachers.
  • The role is full time but part-time may be considered for suitably qualified candidates.
