We are looking to recruit a 1:1 Learning and Medical Support Assistant to work as part of a small team providing support with the student’s learning in their timetabled lessons and specific medical care for diabetes and epilepsy. The role will involve working 1:1 with the named student for a part of the timetable each day. The rest of the day will include supporting other students in their lessons and helping students to develop their social skills in our Games Club.
What the school offers its staff
Full training in supporting students with diabetes and epilepsy will be provided for the successful candidate. If you would like further information about this before applying, we would encourage you to contact the school.
Our support to students with Special Educational Needs is very effective. If you respect teenagers, are hardworking, skilled at dealing with young people, flexible and really care about making a positive difference to our students’ experience at school, we would like to hear from you.
We are fortunate to have teachers with us who started their careers with Soham Village College as teaching assistants, and progressed by applying for opportunities as they occurred.
