What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to work in EYFS alongside the class teacher. You will also be required to support groups of children and children on an individual basis. You will be working under the direction of the class teacher.


Experience of working in early years is essential alongside an understanding of the early years profile. As a school we teach phonics using the RWI scheme so any experience of this would also be advantageous.

WIS is invested in all its staff and will provide any training that is needed. We are a partner school with the Roade teaching hub so there are extra training opportunities for Read, Write Inc teaching.

We are an infant school in Brackley that is a standalone academy. All teachers are passionate and specialists in early years education. We have two classes in each year group with a large school hall. The EYFS area has its own outside area which can be accessed at all times. The school has a well resourced Forest school which is used throughout the week. We are a close working team where being a team player is essential.
