St Nicholas of Tolentine Primary School is looking to appoint an 2 enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to work as part of a busy team, starting in September to support our SEN children and more widely in the classroom.

We are looking for a support member of staff with a passion for supporting the learning of our children with Special Educational Needs. Our school serves a diverse community, where, as recognised by Ofsted "inclusion is at the heart of the school" and there is "a real sense of belonging" for both pupils and staff. You will play a key role in shaping the experience of our pupils, ensuring they are inspired, support and challenged to achieve their full potential.

The role will include:

  • Supporting individual pupils and small groups to access learning and make progress
  • Working alongside teachers to create a safe, purposeful and inclusive learning environment
  • Delivering and reviewing targeted interventions
  • Supporting pupils 'social, emotional and personal development
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, parents and external professionals to support pupil success

We are looking for someone:

  • Has experience of working in a school setting
  • Has experience of working with children with SEN and to have some experience with children who have English as an additional language
  • Has a commitment to helping children achieve their potential
  • Has the ability to show initiative and adapt to the needs of the role

  • Who are determined, resilient and have high expectations of themselves and others
  • Who is flexible, have a good sense of humour and has an understanding of the 'bigger picture'
