Come and join our team!
Every child deserves someone who believes in them.
At St Bonaventure's Catholic Primary School, we are looking for a caring, dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to support a child on their educational journey and help them flourish both academically and personally.
This is far more than a support role. It is an opportunity to build a meaningful relationship, remove barriers to learning and help a child develop the confidence, independence and skills they need to succeed. Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every child feels valued, included and able to achieve their potential.
St Bonaventure's is a welcoming and ambitious school at the heart of its community, where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish. Our children are enthusiastic, respectful and eager to learn, and our staff are committed to creating a culture where kindness, aspiration and inclusion underpin everything we do.
As recognised by Ofsted:
"Leaders remove any barriers to learning or personal development pupils may have, so all can achieve their best. Most pupils with SEND learn the same ambitious curriculum as their peers. Where pupils have complex needs, teachers and LSAs provide bespoke work to meet their needs." Ofsted, June 2023
The role
The Principal and governors are looking for a caring, nurturing member of staff who is committed to supporting children's learning both in the classroom and at lunchtime. - Is caring, nurturing and able to build positive relationships with children
- Can support pupils with a range of educational, social and emotional needs
- Works effectively alongside teachers and other professionals
- Promotes independence, confidence and self-esteem
- Is flexible, resilient and committed to helping every child succeed
What we can offer:
- The opportunity to make a genuine difference to a child's life every day
- Friendly, caring and enthusiastic children who are a joy to work with
- A supportive and experienced staff team who work collaboratively and look after one another
- A school where inclusion sits at the heart of everything we do
- High-quality professional development and training opportunities
- Access to free wellbeing and medical support services
- Free on-site parking
