About the role
As a member of teaching support staff at Malmesbury Park Primary School, you’ll be working in a team of like-minded individuals who all want the best for the learners in our school. Riggs is a resource provision comprising two teaching bases, one of which is a new, purpose-built classroom, sensory room and extensive resources. Riggs provides support for 12 children with social and communication difficulties who are also on the Autistic Spectrum. You will work closely with and be supported by the Riggs Unit Manger and 8 other experienced teaching assistants. You’ll be supporting the Riggs class teacher to plan for, support and assess, the children in the Riggs class, ensuring they are making good (or better) progress in their learning. You’ll make sure our children uphold our high standards of behaviour, and provide tailored support to children who need it.

The ideal candidate will be hard working, friendly and outgoing. They will have an enthusi-asm for working with children. They will have experience and a talent for engaging with complex children, encouraging social interaction, developing independence, self esteem and encouraging all individuals to achieve their goals.
