Parkfield School, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Mealtime Assistant to join the School as soon as possible.

Post: Mealtime Assistant

Location: Parkfield School, Hurn, Christchurch, BH23 6DF

FTE Salary Range: NJC Bournemouth Grade 1, Pt 2, £22,366 per annum (pro-rata for part time contract)

Actual Annual Salary: £5,379.39 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent, part time, term time only (39 weeks per year)

Contract Hours: 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Midday – 2.00 pm)

About the role

We are looking for a Mealtime Assistant who will ensure students are safe, secure and well supervised during lunch time.

You will required to:

  • Encourage the children to eat the meal provided (or their packed lunch) and promote appropriate table manners and behaviour
  • Ensure the safety, welfare and appropriate conduct of pupils during the midday break period in accordance with the practices and procedures of the school
  • Ensure the health, safety, conduct and well-being of all pupils
  • Undertake playground duty, supervising by circulating amongst children
  • Ensure the dining area is kept clean and in a hygienic condition
  • Ensure playground equipment is used and stored properly
