About the Role
The role of the Office Manager is paramount, to the smooth functioning of the school office, to lead and manage the administrative systems ensuring the most effective use of resources to support the Senior Leadership Team, staff, parents and pupils.
Your duties will include:
Ensuring that all those who come into contact with the school office have a welcoming and positive experience, such as visitors, parents, staff and pupils. The office is the first point of contact.
Oversee distribution of office tasks to the office staff to ensure all duties are covered and carried out to a high standard. Lead and guide the office staff, overseeing their work, delegated tasks and fostering a positive team environment.
Support the school Senior Leadership Team with the smooth running of the school.
Maintain accurate pupil and staff records, attendance data, and other administrative records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Conduct on boarding for all new staff, maintain the Single Central Record.
Maintain and update the school website ensuring compliance and creating an inviting and informative space for current and prospective parents and staff.
Oversee the input of purchase orders onto the Trust finance system, tying up invoices and delivery notes and submission to the Central Finance Team for payment.
Be the day to day contact for the Site Manager and the Central Premises Team.
Support the school with all HR related matters.
About the successful candidate
You will need:
Good general education – Minimum of 5 GCSEs, Grade A* - C, including Mathematics and English, or equivalent
NVQ4 in Business and Administration or equivalent (i.e. School Business Professional Qualification Level 4)
Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to train and motivate their own staff, as well as exchange information with a range of audiences (e.g. staff, pupils and others)
Strong IT skills including proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
Demonstrable experience of working in a school environment
Demonstrable experience of working with financial systems and procedures
Demonstrable experience of working with HR systems and procedures
