Malmesbury Park Primary Academy, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to join the School in September 2026.

Post: Teaching Assistant

Location: Malmesbury Park Primary Academy, Lowther Road, Bournemouth, BH8 8LU

FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade 3, Point 4-6, £25,185 rising to a maximum of £25,989 per annum; pro rata for part time contract.

Actual Annual Salary: £19,686 rising to a maximum of £20,314 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent, part-time, term-time only (39 weeks per year)

Contract Hours: 32.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday

About the role

As a member of teaching support staff at Malmesbury Park Primary School, you’ll be working in a team of like-minded individuals who all want the best for the learners in our school. You will be working as part of the teaching support team providing support to the children and staff alike. Your role will require you to work with individuals, small groups and on occasions classes. You will lead intervention groups to ensure children achieve the very best they can.

They will have experience and a talent for engaging with complex children, encouraging social interaction, developing independence, self esteem and encouraging all individuals to achieve their goals.
