3 x Midday Assistant job summary

The Trustees at Victorious Academies Trust would like to appoint 3 x Midday Assistants at Yew Tree Primary School, Yew Tree Lane, Dukinfield, SK16 5BJ.

To start: November to 31st August 2026.

Midday Assistant full-time Salary £24,627

This is a fixed-term, part-time role, 6.25 hours per week, Term Time Only with an actual salary of £3,627 - (TMBC Grade A, Points 2)

Role overview

An opportunity has arisen to join the midday team at Yew Tree Primary School.

If you are:

• Available for term-time, working over the school lunch period

• Enthusiastic about encouraging healthy lifestyles in children

• Keen to have a positive influence on young people

• A role model with a caring, inclusive approach

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise the children in the dinner hall, playground and classrooms during wet weather

• Be able to develop and maintain positive relationships

• Enjoy engaging children in a range of play activities

• To administer basic first aid and deal with sickness, in accordance with training provided. Report and record accidents as required through the associated health & safety procedures

• Have a positive approach to behaviour management and help to ensure lunchtimes remain a safe and positive experience for all children

The proposed timescale for the selection and interview process is as follows:

•Applications close at 09:00 on Monday 3rd November 2025 although the Trust reserve the right to close the process early if suitable candidates are identified through our selection process.
