Academic Mentor - Multiple Positions Available job summary
The Heath Family Multi Academy Trust is seeking a Academic Mentor to provide tutoring to children on a 1:1 or small group basis in our secondary schools The Heath School in Runcorn. The Role
The responsibility of the Academic Mentors will primarily be in English and Maths, supporting students who have been identified by class teachers and subject leaders as requiring additional support to meet age related expectations/targets, as a result of gaps in learning caused by the pandemic or otherwise.
The Person
The successful candidates must be educated to at least grade 5/C in English and Maths GCSE. Experience of working with young people in an educational capacity would be beneficial, and experience of tutoring and/or teaching is preferred. We would welcome applications from ECTs preparing for their first teaching role, however please note that this role would not contribute to induction for an ECT.
