The Candidate

We are seeking a highly organised, discreet and proactive individual to join our school business team as an HR Officer. This is a pivotal role supporting the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding to training, absence management and payroll coordination.

The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, a good understanding of HR processes and a keen eye for detail; particularly regarding safeguarding and compliance requirements such as maintaining the Single Central Record.

Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will liaise with staff at all levels, provide first-line HR advice, and act as a welfare contact for absent employees. Experience in a school or education setting is desirable, though not essential.

You will be expected to handle confidential information with discretion and ensure the smooth and efficient running of the school's HR function in a fast-paced environment.

37 hours per week, 41 week per year.
