Stakesby Primary Academy wishes to appoint a self-motivated, reliable, multi-skilled, proactive, and organised Site Manager to fulfil this key role associated with the smooth running of the Academy.
The fundamental part of the role will be premises management and health & safety compliance. This entails the maintenance and security of the building and grounds, ensuring the cleanliness of the site as a welcoming, safe and secure environment for pupils, staff and visitors, and taking responsibility for ensuring full compliance with current health and safety legislation (full training will be given).
You must also be willing to undertake routine maintenance, including painting and decorating, DIY, cleaning, light gardening, and general repairs. There will be some later working for Governors' Meetings, lettings, special events and parents' evenings in which flexibility is essential. The Site Manager is expected to attend to emergencies outside of school hours, therefore a full driving licence is essential.
Previous experience as a Site Manager, or in the building trade, is desirable but not essential as full training is offered.
You should be able to demonstrate good ICT, literacy and numeracy skills for accurate record keeping and be able to relate well to children, families and staff and interact with them in a friendly and positive manner.
Interested candidates are asked to submit a completed application form to t.clayford@stakesbyschool.net or garry.morrison@northyorks.gov.uk or by hand/post to the school office.
