Achievement Support Assistant job summary
Job Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and effective Achievement Support Assistant to join our hardworking and dedicated staff to work in our EYFS setting.
Contract Details
Grade: 4, Scp 7 - 9, £18,591 - £19,191 per annum (actual salary)
Hours: 30 hours per week, term time only (190 days)
Contract Type: Permanent
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will:
- Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
- Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with school procedures encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
- Support the academic, social, emotional and development of individuals and groups of pupils understanding clearly how pupils learn.
- Provide effective support to maximise attainment and accelerate the progress of individuals and groups of pupils.
- Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes when necessary.
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress towards academic, social, behavioural and learning skills.
- Liaise closely with appropriate staff in relation to safeguarding, behaviour, SEND needs and wellbeing issues.
- Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ attainment, progress, behaviour and attitudes to learning.
