Acorn Advantage Administrator job summary
Acorn Education Trust is seeking a highly organised, proactive and personable coordinator to support the delivery of The Acorn Advantage, our Trust-wide enrichment and opportunity framework launching September 2026. Based at our Clarendon Academy site in Trowbridge, this is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality administrative and organisational support across the programme, which brings together key elements of educational visits, enrichment opportunities and pupil transition.
Working Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 39 weeks per year, includes Teacher training days). Required: September 2026
At Acorn, we pride ourselves on transforming education locally, with our two nurseries, seventeen primary and four secondary schools being at the heart of their local communities. As Acorn Advantage Administrator, you will play a central role in ensuring pupils across our schools benefit from well-planned, high-quality experiences that enhance their education and support smooth transition between phases. This includes, providing organisational support for the delivery of the Acorn Advantage programme across all our schools, supporting with the planning, coordination and administration of trips, visits and enrichment opportunities, as well as coordinating transition programmes between primary and secondary schools, and general administration.
Working closely with the Head of Enhanced Education and colleagues across primary and secondary schools, you will coordinate activities, manage logistics and maintain strong communication links across the Trust. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and Maths
- Is well presented and articulate, with excellent communication skills;
- Has strong interpersonal skills and is able to work with a variety of internal staff and external stakeholders;
- Has superb attention to detail and organisational skills;
- Is self-motivated dedicated and consistent;
- Has the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation;
- Is a strong team player, who can use their own initiative;
- Has a proactive and flexible attitude;
- Has experience of working in a similar role (advantageous);
- Has the ability and willingness to travel to other Trust schools and locations, as required;
- A clean driving licence and willingness to drive a minibus with pupils and school staff.
