We are seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our welcoming school team on a 10-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for the role to become permanent following a successful review. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of our school while supporting pupils, parents, staff and visitors.

About the Role

As an Administrative Assistant, you will be a key member of our office team, providing high-quality administrative and reception support. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a welcoming and professional reception service.
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries.
  • Supporting general office administration, including filing, photocopying, scanning and correspondence.
  • Maintaining accurate records and data.
  • Inputting information into school systems and communication platforms.
  • Supporting attendance administration.
  • Assisting with the organisation of school trips, events and activities.
  • Providing administrative support to staff across the school.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous clerical or administrative experience.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Is confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and other office software.
  • Has strong literacy, numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Is well organised, efficient and reliable.
  • Works well as part of a team and can use their own initiative.
  • Remains calm and professional in a busy environment.
  • Has a flexible and positive approach to work.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
