Administration Assistant job summary

St James' is delighted to present a fantastic position at a well-regarded Primary school within the Bedford area. We are seeking a dedicated and proficient individual to join the school's administrative team and contribute to its ongoing success.

As an administrative assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing effective and efficient administrative support to the school office, contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the school. Reporting to the Office Manager, you will have the opportunity to interact with staff, pupils, families and visitors, and work within a supportive friendly team.

The ideal candidate will:

Live our school values and encourage all to flourish

Have excellent written and communication skills

Show initiative and independence while working collaboratively

Proficient in using IT systems and software packages, and emails

Ability to work efficiently and constructively within a small team

Be proactive and proficient in administrative tasks

Experience of the education sector - desirable

Willingness to undergo training, embrace lifelong learning and be eager to gain new experiences
