Administration Officer job summary
We are seeking to appoint an Administration Officer to support the smooth running of our friendly and successful Infant and Nursery School, which was graded Outstanding in December 2023.
Our ideal candidate will be warm, nurturing and professional, with excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to detail. They will be able to manage multiple tasks, work efficiently, and use technology confidently to support their role. The post involves working closely with children, parents, staff, external suppliers and visitors. The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, manage competing priorities effectively, and organise their workload to meet a wide range of demands. A positive, proactive “can-do” attitude is essential, along with a willingness to solve problems and develop new skills quickly.
The postholder will join a supportive, collaborative office team, who work flexibly to support colleagues and the wider school community. Strong IT skills are essential, particularly in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of Arbor would be an advantage.
Experience of working within a school environment is desirable, but not essential, as training will be provided.
Hours and Terms of Work:
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
8.00am - 4.00pm (Monday-Thursday)
8.00am - 3.30pm (Friday)
Term time (38 weeks), plus 5 inset days and 5 professional days worked during school holidays (pro rata)
