Your Role in Building Brighter Futures

As an Administration Officer at Wansdyke Primary School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement:

As Administration Officer, you will be responsible for:

Acting as an integral part of the school staff team, contributing to the overall aims of the school.

Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and implementing new administrative processes, including the use of systems that enhance the application of IT in school administration.

Organising and prioritising your own workload effectively.

Delivering excellent customer service.

Completing and overseeing general administration tasks as directed.

Ensuring all school policies and procedures are adhered to by self and others.

Carrying out reception/front-of-house duties when required.

Meeting deadlines set by the Headteacher/Line Manager.

Undertaking any other duties commensurate with the role and grade.

Data Protection and Safeguarding Responsibilities:

Work within the requirements of Data Protection at all times.

Understand your responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding and child protection and how to highlight any concerns.

Remain vigilant to ensure all students are protected from potential harm.

General Responsibilities:

Exemplify the Trust values of Respect, Opportunity, Collaboration and Aspiration, and demonstrate trust behaviours as outlined in “The Futura Way.”

Undertake any appropriate training provided by the Trust.

Contribute to the protection and welfare of children and young people by reporting concerns to your line manager.

Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the workplace, complying with all mandatory regulations.

Undergo an Enhanced DBS check and disclose all cautions and convictions (other than protected ones under DBS rules).

What You’ll Bring to Futura

We are looking for a committed and organised Administration Officer who:

Qualifications:

Holds 5 GCSEs (grades C/4 or above), including Maths and English.

Has NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification/experience.

Possesses strong ICT skills, including Outlook and Microsoft Office.

Experience

Has worked in a busy office environment as part of a team.

(Desirable) Experience in a front-of-house role.

(Desirable) Experience working with young people in a school/learning environment.

(Desirable) Experience supporting senior leadership.
