What skills and experience we're looking for
The Derby High School in Bury, Greater Manchester, is seeking to appoint an Administration Assistant with responsibility for Inclusion and SEND. We are looking for someone with the relevant qualifications, skills and experience who has a passion and commitment to improving the outcomes of students. This is an exciting new role and, working under the direction of the SENDCO. The post-holder will have the opportunity to make a significant difference to the success of students of students at The Derby High School.
You should consider applying if you can bring the following to our school: -
Experience of supporting SEND processes or working within an administrative role in an educational, health or pastoral setting.
Experience of liaising with parents, carers and external professionals to ensure joined up support for young people.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage paperwork, statutory deadlines and multiple administrative tasks with accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to share information clearly and professionally.
Confidence in working independently, using initiative to solve problems and keep processes running smoothly.
The ability to build positive, professional relationships with colleagues, families and external agencies.
Flexibility and adaptability in response to a busy and changing SEND environment.
