LL4 Pay Point 4 (FTE) £24,404.00 Annually (pro-rata) £16837.99
29.5 hrs per week
We are currently looking to appoint a flexible, enthusiastic, positive and well organised Administrative Assistant who will fit well in our busy and friendly school office, where no two days are the same, to cover a maternity leave for at least 12 months.
As a first point of contact, it will be beneficial for applicants to have experience of an office environment and it will be necessary for them to have excellent communication skills, as well as a high commitment to standards, confidentiality and efficiency.
The role is for five days a week, with hours from 8:30am to 2:00pm, Wednesday 08:30am-4:00pm
Term time ONLY.
Typical daily tasks will include:
- Undertaking reception duties including responding to telephone and face to face enquiries
- Providing clerical support, such as dealing with class registers, school lunch bookings, maintaining school records, basic typing, email, photocopying and filing
- Liaising with parents
- Assisting with pupil welfare matters and administering routine first aid and accident recording and reporting
- Supporting the co-ordinating trips and school clubs
- Maintaining and ordering school stationery along with other items from suppliers
- An excellent command of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel are essential, together with excellent administrative and organisational skills .
- A knowledge of Google Drive/Google Forms and SiMs is desirable
The safeguarding of our children is paramount therefore, appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced DBS Check, pre-employment health checks and references, as outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education (September 2024).
This position is fixed term for 12 months, from September 2025.
