Vacancy: After School Club Assistant

Contract: Permanent

Grade: TSPT 4 (point 12-13)

Hours: 6 hours per week

Wednesday and Thursday, 15:00-18:00, 38 weeks

Salary: £3,399 to £3,423 per annum (FTE Salary £24,435 to £24,608 per annum)

Start date: ASAP

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and approachable After School Club Assistant to support the After School Club leader in providing a high quality ‘on site’ care provision. If you enjoy working with children, and want to promote and develop high quality child centered play activities in a relaxed, safe and secure environment while offering encouragement and friendship to the children in your care then this could be the job for you.

Experience of working with children in a childcare environment or within a school is desirable. Your ability to establish good relationships with both pupils and staff, together with an understanding of managing pupil behaviour is essential. You will also have a recognised first aid qualification or be willing to undertake training.
