Location: Pelton Community Primary School

Hours: 12.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday - 3.00pm - 5.00pm

Salary: £6118 to £6214 per annum (actual salary), based on 12.5 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks) Grade 1.

Pelton Community Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Club Worker to join our friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from the local community who enjoys working with children and wants to play an active role in supporting local families and pupils. If you have previous childcare experience and you are looking for a rewarding role where you can make a positive impact, we would love to hear from you.

As an After School Club Worker, you will help provide a safe, caring and engaging environment for children attending our after-school provision, supporting a range of fun activities, promoting positive behaviour and ensuring every child feels included, valued and supported.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have previous experience of working with children aged 4-11 years and be able to demonstrate:

  • A caring and approachable manner.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with children.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • The ability to support and deliver fun, engaging activities for children.
  • Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude.

Please note that we operate a probationary period of 4 months across all jobs in the Trust (see attached policy for further details). You will receive a comprehensive induction to support you to successfully pass your probation.
