As an Animal and Land Based Studies Instructor, you will deliver practical and classroom-based lessons, ensuring students are well-prepared for assessments and future careers. You will be part of a supportive team that values staff development and innovation in teaching and should hold a post-compulsory teaching qualification at Level 5 diploma standard or equivalent along with specialist knowledge and skills in the husbandry, healthcare and breeding of a range of small animals.

Essential Criteria:
Post-compulsory teaching qualification at Level 5 diploma standard or equivalent (DTLLS, PGCE (PCET), Cert Ed. etc.)
Appropriate level (minimum level 3) qualification in a relevant Subject Sector Area.
Must have level 2 or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths.
Able to establish positive relationships with young people, external agencies (including employers) and colleagues
Experience in setting up, delivering and co-ordinating learning programmes.
Effective oral and written communication skills
Effective organisational skills
Ability to maintain paper or electronic information systems
Enthusiasm for and commitment to working with and supporting young people
Able to work under pressure, to deadlines and under own initiative
Desirable Criteria:
To be a qualified assessor
Ability to drive (full driving licence) and use of car
Early career teachers need not apply.
