Are you passionate about sport and enthusiastic about inspiring young people to lead active, healthy and positive lives?
We are seeking to appoint an Apprentice Sports Coach Level 4 to join our team and support pupils across Penbridge Schools.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to build a career in sport, develop their coaching skills and gain valuable experience working in a school environment all while gaining hands-on experience working towards a Level 4 Sports Coach Apprenticeship.
Your role will include supporting and delivering engaging, inclusive PE lessons under the guidance of qualified teaching staff. As your confidence and experience develop, you will have the opportunity to take greater responsibility for coaching sessions and sporting activities.
You will be supported every step of the way with high quality training and mentorship, equipping you with the skills to become a valued and confident member of our team.What you will need:
- GCSE or Functional Skills (Grade 4/C or Level 2) in Maths and English
- A genuine desire to work with children and make a positive impact on their learning journey

- Support high quality PE, physical activity and sport for KS1 and KS2 pupils.
- Help deliver sporting activities, competitions and healthy lifestyle programmes.
- Maintain assessment and monitoring records.
- Communicate effectively with pupils, staff and parents.
- Follow all Health & Safety and safeguarding requirements.
- Actively engage in and successfully complete the Level 4 Sports Coach Apprenticeship.
