Apprentice Technician/TA job summary

The Apprenticeship Technician/TA will support the delivery of high-quality practical training and learning across Plumbing, Electrical and Resistant Materials. The role involves maintaining a safe, well organised and effective workshop environment, preparing equipment and materials for practical sessions, and providing technical support to pupils and teaching staff.

You will contribute to the smooth day to day running of practical workshops, ensuring tools, equipment and resources are available, maintained and used safely. You will also support students in developing their practical skills, encouraging good working practices and helping them to understand and apply relevant health and safety requirements.


Interested candidates will:

  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement, under guidance of the teacher.
  • Support the teacher in delivering practical and theory lessons.
  • General maintenance of the workshop and machinery.
  • Ability to handle a large range of power tools
  • Ability to manage and monitor consumable materials and place orders.
