What skills and experience we're looking for
The Role:
As an Apprenticeship Recruitment Advisor, you will connect talented candidates with apprenticeship opportunities and help employers recruit the skills their businesses need. You will coordinate recruitment from vacancy advertising and candidate screening through to employer interviews, appointment and handover for onboarding. Working with employers and College teams, you will keep candidates informed, maintain accurate records and ensure a professional, responsive recruitment experience.
This is a varied, people focused role where your organisation, judgement and customer service will help turn apprenticeship vacancies into successful starts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advertise apprenticeship vacancies accurately across approved platforms and attraction channels.
- Manage applications, screen and assess candidates, and maintain regular communication throughout the recruitment process.
- Coordinate employer interviews, assessment activities and selection outcomes.
- Prepare candidates for employer selection and ensure they understand the vacancy, apprenticeship and workplace expectations.
- Maintain an active talent pool and signpost unsuccessful candidates to suitable alternative opportunities or support.
- Maintain accurate vacancy, candidate and outcome records across college and external systems.
- Monitor recruitment pipelines, identify stalled applications and provide accurate performance updates.
- Support recruitment events, employer engagement activities, open events and promotional campaigns.
- Deliver a responsive and professional service to candidates, employers and internal colleagues.
- Ensure recruitment activity is fair, inclusive and compliant with safeguarding, data protection and College requirements.
Who You Are:
You are an organised, proactive and approachable professional who enjoys supporting people and building strong relationships. You can manage competing priorities, communicate confidently and assess candidates fairly against clear requirements. Accurate, digitally confident and customer focused, you will handle sensitive information professionally and keep recruitment activity moving.
Experience in recruitment, customer service, education, training or employability would be valuable. Knowledge of apprenticeships is desirable, alongside a clear commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and excellent service.
