Art and DT Technician job summary

St Aidan's Catholic Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and reliable Art & Design Technology Technician to provide specialist support within our successful Art and Design Technology departments.

About the Role

Working under the guidance of teaching staff and curriculum leaders, you will play a vital role in supporting the effective delivery of Art and Design Technology lessons. You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining specialist equipment, resources and materials, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment, and supporting both staff and pupils during practical activities.

We Are Looking for Someone Who:
  • Is highly organised and able to work independently.
  • Has excellent practical and problem-solving skills.
  • Has an interest in Art, Design Technology or creative subjects.
  • Understands the importance of health and safety within practical learning environments.
  • Can manage resources, equipment and budgets effectively.
  • Is committed to supporting the achievement and wellbeing of all pupils.
  • Shares and supports the Catholic values and ethos of the Academy.

The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory Enhanced DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of pre-employment checks.
