Art & DT Technology Technician (3D Product Design & Art) job summary

We are seeking to appoint an Art & DT Technology Technician (3D Product Design & Art) to join our team.

You will be joining one of the top performing non-selective schools in the local area, having just recorded the best results the school has ever seen. We have a strong focus on high standards and aspirations, built around the simple message that teaching is the most important thing we do.

You will be a key member of the Faculty team, providing practical support to the teaching and learning of DT & Art. Reporting to the Director of Faculty, you will prepare material and resources for lessons, assist in the classroom and develop, prepare and implement whole school display materials.

Core Purpose

  • To provide practical support to the teaching and learning of Design Technology and Art
  • Prepare materials and resources for lessons
  • Supporting all subjects across the Faculty; Food, Art, Textiles and Product Design, as required.
  • Assist in the classroom, supporting the teacher with their health and safety practices
  • Develop, prepare and implement whole school display materials
  • To ensure there is a safe and effective working environment in the Faculty
