Art Teacher job summary
The Head Teacher at Springfield Pupil Referral Unit has a strong commitment to continued improvement and working towards a strong provision for students within the Wakefield District. The appointment of excellent practitioners is a key element in the continued development of the Centre to achieve this aim.
Required for September 2022, or as soon as possible, The Management Committee and Head Teacher are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, qualified and dynamic teacher.
The candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner who can evidence successful outcomes for students in Key Stage 4, through a personalised approach to curriculum planning, delivery and engagement. They must have considerable experience of working with vulnerable, challenging students and raising their aspirations and outcomes.
The successful candidate will need a proven ability of working independently, have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage behaviour successfully.
You will also enjoy team work and have experience of working collaboratively with a range of staff and other professionals. Candidates will also be expected to deliver enrichment activities as part of the reward system.
Successful applicants could be required to work across any of the associated sites subject to operational needs.
