Assessment Support, MAT cover job summary

The Dean Trust is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Assessment Support to cover maternity leave to join our dedicated team at Abraham Moss Community School, Crescent Road, Crumpsall, Manchester, M8 5UF.

The core purpose of the role will be to support the Assessment Lead in managing the efficient and effective administration of all internal and external assessments and examinations, both general and vocational within the school, including liaising with staff, pupils, parents/carer, invigilators, examination boards, JCQ, other schools/colleges and other educational organisations.

Key responsibilities:

To support the Assessment Lead managing all aspects of Assessment, Recording and Reporting, retrieving and analysing data as required, to ensure available data has impact across EYFS through to KS4. 

  • Choosing and implementing appropriate assessment tools and strategies.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and identifying areas for development.
  • Providing feedback to staff and pupils on assessment outcomes.
  • Reporting to parents and carers on pupil progress.

To support the Assessment Lead with the implementation and maintenance of the school timetable.

Support the school staffing cover planning system, including:

  • Developing and maintaining a cover allocation system.
  • Identifying suitable staff to cover absences.
  • Ensuring that cover arrangements minimize disruption to pupils' learning.
