The current vacancy has become available due to the promotion of one of our Assistant Headteachers to the position of Head of School at Saxon Mount School. Our new Assistant Headteacher’s main responsibilities will be Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Behaviour Lead. They will also be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of the school and will have accountabilities in driving and securing improved outcomes for pupils and in teaching, learning and assessment. The Assistant Headteacher will work closely with the Head of School and Executive Head, along with other middle and senior leaders, identifying priorities for improvement, implementing improvement plans and evaluating school performance. They will also work closely with senior leaders at Torfield School to secure consistency of practice where appropriate, and improvement. The Assistant Headteacher will have a significant role in safeguarding and the provision we make for pupils with higher levels of need. They will also take a leading role in statutory processes such as Annual Reviews and multi-agency working.
