Assistant Head Teacher: Progress job summary
Assistant Headteacher, with responsibility for student progress from Year 7-11
At JFC, we have a responsibility to ensure that students have access to the very best education possible. One of the most fundamental and influential aspects of a child’s education is the curriculum experience. The power of curriculum is immeasurable. It has the power to not only influence, but to also change whole communities and shape their understanding of the world and their place in it. Therefore, it is imperative that the curriculum on offer is truly world class and gives students access to powerful knowledge that takes them far beyond what their GCSE outcomes and their own individual experience ever could. In addition, it is vital that this knowledge is retained. At JFC we aim to develop strategies to review and revisit prior learning to ensure that the very best knowledge is taught and retained.
The successful applicant will have strategic overview of student progress and outcomes across the school. You will be committed to supporting students to ensure that every child makes the best possible outcomes regardless of starting point. In order to do so, you will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that the knowledge rich curriculum is embedded widely across the school, as we strive towards becoming an Outstanding school.
Please find attached a copy of the Job description with further information.
The salary will be on the Leadership Pay scale L12 – L16.
