What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint, for a September start, an Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for a phase. This is an exciting opportunity to join a caring school, in a supportive trust, with fantastic career progression and CPD opportunities. If you are an exceptional leader, who is passionate about teaching, nurturing children through trauma informed approaches, developing others and can secure the best possible quality outcomes for children through high-quality teaching and supporting other staff to reach their potential then this role may be for you.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a proven leader with a track record of developing others
- Have a broad knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning, including the most effective ways to support the most vulnerable
- Be a skilled classroom practitioner who is passionate about learning and believes in the potential of all children
- Show empathy, understanding and curiosity, adopting an attachment-based approach to managing behaviour
- Have a positive attitude and be prepared to take initiative
- Be hardworking, conscientious, creative and energetic
- Have exceptional interpersonal skills
