Assistant Headteacher job summary
The Governors and Headteacher are looking for:
The skills required, or willingness to train, to eventually take on the lead as SENCo/Inclusion Manager;
A strong Leader who is either a practising Catholic or is highly supportive of and committed to developing the Catholic ethos and future vision of the school;
An experienced and outstanding teacher, with experience in any two key stages, and especially experience (and preferably with recent experience) in Key Stage 1, and who can inspire and motivate children to learn and achieve their full potential;
Someone with proven leadership experience who can motivate, support and work as a team;
Someone with proven leadership in co-ordinating a core curriculum subject or a significant area within school;
A teacher who has high expectations of behaviour and achievement which will add to the distinctive nature of this Catholic school and move the school forward;
Someone who will take an active role in the wider life of the school and who really cares about children.
