Assistant House Head job summary

Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant House Head to join our team.

As an Assistant House Head you will be assisting with administration tasks, supporting the Houses in striving for personal excellence to be developed by all pupils and ensuring that a sense of Ernesford pride is developed in students. You will also be responsibility for supporting Heads of House with promoting high standards of attendance, recording late students, ensuring that parents are contacted and following up with relevant sanctions including distribution of report cards and administration regarding late detentions and arranging for registers to be available for assembly. 

Hours of Work

Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 4:30pm

Friday 8:30am-4:00pm

Term time only plus 5 days

Job requirements

  • 5 GCSE grade "C" or above, or equivalent.
  • Administration experience.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Excellent telephone manner and the ability to handle queries sensitively and professionally.
  • Excellent organisational and diary management skills.
  • Ability to take notes in meetings.
