Assistant Librarian job summary

This is a part time, permanent role and is term time only

The successful candidate will need to be creative and forward thinking with an idea to encourage full use by staff and pupils in teaching and learning and in reading for pleasure. The successful candidate will assist in developing a first-class library to support student learning and foster a culture of academic enquiry and intellectual curiosity throughout the school.

The individual will support the school by

  • Helping to maintain and promote the school library and teacher resources.
  • Support children’s learning by promoting enjoyment of, and excitement about reading to all children
  • Establishing skills in reaching for independent learning.
