Assistant Pastoral Manager (Maternity Cover) job summary
We are seeking an Assistant Pastoral Manager to cover maternity leave from 06 January 2025 to 31 July 2025.
The core responsibilities of the Assistant Pastoral Manager are to monitor and report attendance and to support the Senior Pastoral Manager. Through effective data analysis and strong relations maximise students’ attendance/punctuality, raise their aspirations and achievements as well as to promote high expectations of behaviour of all students in the Year group. Reinforcing and building upon our Academy ethos (Ready, Respectful, Safe).
Job Details
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, term time, including training days (39 weeks per year)
Position Type: Maternity Cover until 31 July 2025 or the return of the post holder.
Line Manager: Assistant Vice-Principal (Behaviour and Attitudes)

Specific duties include:
- To monitor and report attendance and punctuality for all Year 8 students.
- To support student engagement.
- To undertake first-aid responsibilities as per rota.
- Safeguarding responsibilities in line with role.
- To undertake pastoral quality assurance every term.
- To supervise isolated learning and BfL.
- On occasions, other duties to meet the needs and demands of the Academy
