What skills and experience we're looking for

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Strategic Leadership Team at Torquay Girls’ Grammar School (TGGS) as our SENDCo.

We are looking for an experienced professional who can lead the strategic direction and development of SEND policy and provision, ensuring that TGGS is an inclusive environment where students with SEN or a disability can thrive and achieve expected outcomes.The SENDCo will lead a wider team with enthusiasm and commitment and will support staff to deliver high quality and adaptative teaching in line with the SEND Code of Practice in our outstanding school.In return, you will benefit from working within a forward thinking, creative and dynamic strategic leadership team providing you with whole school experience and opportunities to develop your career.

Ideally you will already hold the National Award in Special Educational Needs Coordination (NASENCo), however, supportto achieve this qualificationwill be given to the right candidate.

This position involves a teaching responsibility with 20 periods over a fortnight and the successful candidate will be a full member of the SLT with Associate Assistant Headteacher responsibilities.
