    • Experience delivering ABA/PBS-based provision to children and young people with additional needs.

    • A clear understanding of ABA, Verbal Behaviour teaching methodologies and Positive Behaviour Support principles.

    • Experience supporting or training colleagues and developing effective teaching practices.

    • Strong analytical, clinical reasoning, problem-solving and organisational skills.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, pupils, parents and external professionals.

    • A flexible, reliable and reflective approach, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Experience supporting pupils who use signing and other Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems is important. Experience with the Behaviour Skills Training Model, Makaton, Team Teach and school-based systems such as CPOMS and Excel would also be advantageous.
