What skills and experience we're looking for

We would like to find someone who:

  • Can carry out the role “with love” by showing nurture and care to all.
  • Is proactive, flexible and hard working.
  • Is organised and meticulous in their record keeping.
  • Is good at building relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Can be resilient when dealing with challenge from pupils or parents.
  • Has experience of working within schools.
  • Has familiarity with attendance and safeguarding procedures within Birmingham.
  • Is willing to undertake training

Flexible working opportunities

The role is 12 hours per week, these hours can be flexible as long as they are within the school week ie. 8.30-3.30 Monday-Friday.

For example this could be:

  • 2 full days
  • 4 hours spread over 3 days
  • 2-3 hours every day

There is also scope for there to be flexibility week by week to fit around commitments outside of school.
