Attendance Officer job summary
Maintain accurate, secure records of student attendance and report concerns in a timely manner.
Administer efficient data-sharing systems, including punctuality reports and statutory data returns to the Local Authority (e.g. the ‘PARS’ absence return).
Handle all attendance-related data sensitively, ensuring strict adherence to confidentiality protocols.
Work independently to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
Support the school in fulfilling its statutory duties concerning attendance and safeguarding, referring any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead as appropriate.

We are a large and inclusive school with over 1100 students on roll, situated in the suburb of Drayton, to the north of the city of Portsmouth, nestled under the slopes of Portsdown Hill.
