Attendance Assistant and First Aider job summary
OVERALL PURPOSE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to support teaching and learning as a Attendance Assistant/First Aider at Bradon Forest School. This role is varied, and we are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual to be able to cope in a high-pressure environment and deal with constantly changing priorities.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
To ensure school records and data relating to pupil attendance are maintained effectively.
To ensure all registers are completed in a timely manner and no missing marks or unexplained absences remain.
To check and remind any necessary staff to complete registers and to monitor the accuracy of registers.
To follow school policy of ‘first day contact’ within the school.
To ensure all unexplained absences are accounted for or send letter requesting an explanation.
To play a part in implementing the missing child protocol, when required and lates.
First Aid cover.
Managing on site injuries or illnesses.
Maintaining accurate accident records
Ensure that parents receive communication in relation to a student’s illness or injury during the school day.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check along with standard pre-employment safeguarding checks.
